Tax+U
On line information on Tax issues available for students
The Inland Revenue has launched a new online resource for students, called Tax+U, click here to access it.
Tax+U is a digital resource in the form of a downloadable e-brochure detailing the information most often asked for by students. The format is digestible, interactive, highly visual and designed for use by the student intermediaries like welfare and career officers, or by students themselves. It links directly to an online tax checker for students, which tells them if they have paid too much tax, and if so, how to claim it back.
Student intermediaries will be sent promotional posters to put up in colleges and universities and business-type cards to hand-out to students. The cards signpost students with questions about tax to either speak to the intermediary in person, or visit the website directly.
