Benefits for Young People

The Money Advice Unit at Hertfordshire County Council produce a Factsheet entitled 'Young People and Benefits', a version of which has been given out at the Benefit training sessions. This is also on the Money Advice Unit's website and is updated frequently so contains up-to-date information.

Some of the benefits covered are:
  • Income Support for those not in school or college
  • Income Support for 16, 17, 18 and 19 year olds in
    full-time non-advanced education
  • How to claim
  • Job Seekers Allowance
  • Disability Living Allowance
