Access Ability Team
Access Ability is a dedicated team of Personal Advisors within Connexions who can help any young person in a special school and who also support other Personal Advisors working with young disabled people.
If a child has a Statement of Special Educational Needs, a Connexions Personal Advisor can become involved from Year 9. The Personal Advisor will draw up a plan for what the child will do when they leave school and help the parents or carers and the child to implement this plan. Personal Advisors will also attend certain annual reviews.
